3-SIDED SOLID OAK TABLE BASE
Beautiful and elegant with a minimalist-type style, these extra thick table legs are built from sustainably sourced solid oak lumber. The notching system on this table base is highly engineered, as well as very precise, and therefore, no screws or hardware are needed to hold it together. Instead, everything notches perfectly into place, and once the last piece is notched (last piece has different notches than the others), the table base is tightly locked together, and is extremely strong and stable. This table base also assembles and disassembles very quickly and easily, which makes them a perfect fit for van life, tiny home living, or any other on-the-go lifestyle. This table base, with it's beefy design, is more than capable of withstanding the weight of even the heftiest table tops over the long haul, such as extra thick glass, granite, or extra thick wooden slabs, and will be sure to add beauty inside your home for many years to come.
If you would like me to make any alterations to the shape of the ends that the table top sits on, due to needing to fasten a wooden top to it, or for any other reason, please let me know. Tables are equipped with thick leather pads crafted seamlessly into the table for the glass to sit on (see black table in photos-different color options are available as well). Table is also equipped with thick anti scratch suede pads on the bottom of the feet to protect the floor.
Brown table legs in picture are built to hold a 38 inch diameter piece of glass (The Glass it is holding in the pictures is 48 inches-a little over sized in my opinion-I usually account for about 5 inches of overhang). If you would like a custom amount of overhang for the glass, feel free to contact me.
The stain and finish shown in the pictures is a French polish shellac finish with a coffee brown stain (probably my favorite combination), but I can do other finishes and color combinations as well. These include a tung oil finish, hardwax oil finish or a conventional stain and polyurethane finish - all of which can be combined with any custom color (or at least I will try my very best to deliver any custom color - I don't mind doing samples as needed to get it right).
I build every table base new. Any feature on the table can be customized free of any labor cost. Table in picture is identical in design (dimensions may be different, of course), but is not the exact one you will receive. Due to natural materials being used, each table will have it's own unique character.
*Glass and table base will arrive separately upon delivery.

Hand-crafted in Colorado Springs, CO, USA
All GeoDesignz products are handcrafted by GeoDesignz owner Todd Gossage. Todd also designs all of the products himself, and uses a highly specialized design method, which involves using computers and mathematics to calculate all of the angles, lengths and cuts needed to build each project. When sitting down to design a project, Todd will work for many hours on his computer utilizing calculus equations to get the design just right. After he succeeds in doing this, he writes down all of the information needed to build that particular table on a piece of paper, and then heads out to the work shop to start looking through his lumber supply for the correct pieces to build with.

Lumber
The lumber Todd generally works with is in the form of large wooden oak beams, acquired from a steel mill 40 miles away in Pueblo, Colorado. This wood, prior to Todd getting it, is used by the steel mill to support massive wind turbines and other related equipment during hauling, and is very rough looking in its raw form. However, the moment the top layer is stripped away, the beauty of the hardwood is revealed, and after further steps of cutting, planing and sanding, a finish, such as a French polish shellac finish, can be applied, and the natural beauty of the wood is then accentuated to a spectacular level.

Engineering
What sets Todd and GeoDesignz apart from most engineering operations is that Todd handles every aspect of production, both in regard to design and build, from beginning to end. The piece of paper that is used to build each table is a representation of this, as it is also along the ride during each process of the build, and is usually pretty tattered and worn, and has a treasure map sort of look about it by the end of a project. If you would like to request the piece of paper that contains all of the information needed build your table (albeit Todd is the only one who understands this "treasure map" of sorts) Todd will be more than happy to include it in the mail alongside the item you purchased. In owning a table from GeoDesignz, you are getting a truly unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted piece of furniture, that has an extremely high amount of love, care and engineering put into it.
